Semester 3 overall

First cut scene -what is in the scene?

·         Road

·         Telephone lines

·         Car

·         Train lines

·         Foliage… Grass, Bushes, Wheat, tress

The special movement will be the license plate spinning on the ground

Second cut scene

·         Train

·         Train crossing

The special movement will be the car getting nearly getting hit by the train

Throughout the end experience, I looked at how I can present the result this was for a couple of reasons. Firstly, how to present my work in the format that I wanted to show the viewer the action and how to keep the audience engage with during the video. I looked at how movies did this in car chases in film and I notice that you try and use the environment as much as possible. Following the terrain, seems to make it smooth and flowing through the environment and it shows off where is it set. Secondly using the body lines on the car and getting the movement of the curves. Using the camera and following the contour of the body panels of the car, this shows the sounding of the car in fall detail also give use and unite viewer angles.

I film ford v Ferrari captures this very well.

Above showers that the camera stats at the front of the car and panoramic around the side then to the back.

Below shows this more as it is showcasing the front of the car.

Car dashboard

Car dashboard In between the first and the second cut scene, there will be a couple of shoots which will be the dashboard of the car. The dash dashboard will show the car spend and the rest below is an example of what the view will see the purpose is to show more detail and movement in the video for the end experience. And some station shots to mix up the footage. After researching car chases sense in films they all ways how the inside of the cars or the dashboard, this is because it keeps the point of forces of what’s happing and changers it over standard outside shots, this keeps the action up to and the view more entailed in the what’s happing or what’s going to happen. A good example of this is a film called Baby Driver   From Baby driver, I notice that you can show the viewer a lot of information in a very short period which makes sense. In the opening scene, it shows what the action which the driver is going to do before it happens. Below I have taken screen sh...

Concept art Research

I have been looking at concept art to gain an idea to create my own designs of an airship. Looking at works on Artstation specifically, there are an array of works that I have taken influence from with elements of colour, style, shape etc. I have found this very useful in the researching process and will continue to refer back to these concepts throughout my project to keep a consistent relation to these ideas.  The links to each artist's page will be shown in correlation to the images used.  Felipe Marques-  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6GD6r Eddie Del Rio -  https://www.artstation.com/kackey22 Le Vuong -  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9vlBN Thomas Chamberlain- Keen -  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3DORJ Karol Miklas -  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/AeXXq Eddie Mendoza -  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/2oXxJ Lincoln Renall -  https://www.artstati...

Maya Modelling

Maya modelling Throughout the project I have been using Maya to model all my assets. I have also use ideas created by artists as inspiration for this. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/v86vv https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OPQnk The process that I have taken has been to draw out sketches of the environment which I want to create. To achieve this, I did research to make sure at all of my ideas were in the same aesthetic. The reason that I did all this was to keep all my work as close to contexts as possible and to have the same theme as ‘steampunk’.
