The process that I have taken has been to draw out sketches of the environment which I want to create. To achieve this, I did research to make sure at all of my ideas were in the same aesthetic. The reason that I did all this was to keep all my work as close to contexts as possible and to have the same theme as ‘steampunk’.

Brain Storm

Brain Storming   Using the mind map and drawings below, I will be able to gain a clear understanding and idea of what I want to be able to accomplish with my project. I hope to create an eye-catching and intriguing scene later on in the process.

The road

The road For the road I researched as I wanted to keep it all in theme, this led me to choose between a busy highway or side county road. As the project was set in outside of the town, I chose to have a county road as there is a lot of carter within them and I will be able to factor that into the end video. Below is the picture that I took inspiration from. From this, I could use for a reference point and be able to mould the road for the environment The telephone lines As the first part was set on the road, I wanted the have more realism in the environment. I started to research what other models I could use as a backdrop and content which I could use for the video     The car and why I chose it.   For the sense and the environment, I decided to have the car as 1974 Dodge Monaco front, this is because it fits the time frame and the location of the environment which is America. Another reason why I picked it was that it’s an ironic car from the film Blue...

Movement Within Film

Within my work, I want to incorporate moving parts. Such as cogs, large wheels, pipes, etc. Industrial mechanical environment features. I want to achieve this so I can create a fully immersive and exciting environment for the player to explore and work within.  I have been looking at films and how the CGI effects can be transferred into movement within a game. 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' involves a scene that depicts a moving conveyor belt with many moving parts of machinery. I want to use these as inspirations because of the repetitive nature, not unlike an n airship the parts move to complete a sequence. This is something that I can utilise in my work.  The scene link is as follows :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzWyLDQvKng&t=1s A screenshot  Add caption
